THE BIRTHDAY PARTY

by Harold Pinter
in association with Origin Theatrical
directed by Gary Kliger

In Pinter’s most memorable 'comedy of menace', Meg and Petey Boles run a down at the heel boarding house in their small, sleepy seaside town. They have only one lodger: the reclusive, bitter Stanley, hiding away from the world outside. With the arrival of two mysterious visitors, the charming Goldberg and the menacing McCann, Stanley is immediately on edge, suspicious that the men are there for him, but Meg is too delighted by her new guests to pay him any heed. Goldberg convinces Meg to throw Stanley a birthday party, though he insists it isn’t his birthday. As the festivities barrel forward, out of anyone’s control, the celebration turns dark and a game of blindman’s bluff grows violent as Stanley’s past catches up with him, threatening to shatter him inside and out.

THE BOYS IN THE BAND

by Mart Crowley
in association with Origin Theatrical
directed by Chris O'Leary

New York, 1968. In his upper eastside Manhattan apartment, Michael is throwing a small birthday party for his ‘friend’, Harold. Just a few longtime friends laughing, drinking, reminiscing and having fun.

But Harold is very late.

One of the guests has brought a very unique gift.

And Michael’s very straight, very conservative, college room mate arrives unexpectedly.

Michael is going to spiral out of control.

As the evening wears on, fueled by drugs and alcohol, bitter, unresolved resentments among the guests

come to light when a game of "Truth" goes terribly wrong.

RUMORS

by Neil Simon
in association with Origin Theatrical
directed by Julie Jones

At a large, tastefully appointed Sneden's Landing townhouse, the Deputy Mayor of New York has just shot himself. Though only a fesh wound, four couples are about to experience a severe attack of farce.

Gathering for their tenth wedding anniversary, the host lies

bleeding in the other room and his wife is nowhere in sight. His lawyer, Ken and wife Chris must get "the story" straight before the other guests arrive.

As the confusions and mis-communications mount, the evening spins into classic farcical hilarity.
